On the afternoon of October 4, in Phú Thọ, the Women’s Union of Factory Z121 / General Department of Defense Industry solemnly held its 9th Delegates’ Congress for the 2025–2030 term. Attending and directing the Congress was Senior Colonel Trần Mạnh Hùng, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Company. Also in attendance were Lieutenant Colonel Hoàng Minh Hải, Member of the Party Committee and Head of the Political Department; representatives of the factory’s mass organizations; leaders and commanders of affiliated agencies and units; and 135 outstanding cadres and members, representing more than 1,400 women members across the entire factory.

Promoting democracy and collective intelligence, the Congress discussed and contributed numerous opinions to the documents of the Executive Committee of the Factory Women’s Union, while also providing feedback on the draft Political Report of the Political Department of the General Department of Defense Industry and draft documents of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

In his directive speech, Senior Colonel Trần Mạnh Hùng commended and acknowledged the achievements attained by the Factory Women’s Union in the previous term, pointed out shortcomings that need to be addressed, and provided orientations for future tasks. He emphasized the need for the Women’s Union to focus on strengthening political and ideological education, equipping cadres and members with legal knowledge, continuing to research and innovate the content and methods of activities, and closely coordinating with other mass organizations within the factory to diversify and enrich activity programs.

With a strong sense of responsibility, the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Factory Z121 Women’s Union for the 2025–2030 term, consisting of 11 members, with a high level of confidence. At its first session, the Executive Committee elected a Standing Committee of three members. Ms. Đàm Thị Thu Lam, staff member of the Political Department, was re-elected as Chairwoman, and Ms. Nguyễn Hồng Nhung, staff member of the Fireworks Enterprise, was re-elected as Vice Chairwoman.

At the Congress, the Presidium announced the decision appointing 15 delegates to attend the General Department–level Conference on Women’s Work Review, and presented awards to 10 collectives and 37 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Women’s Union emulation movements during the 2021–2025 period.

The successful organization of the 9th Delegates’ Congress of the Factory Z121 Women’s Union (2025–2030) serves as an important foundation for each cadre and member to resolutely strive to successfully fulfill the goals and targets set forth in the Congress Resolution—contributing to building a strong Women’s Union organization, successfully accomplishing the unit’s political missions, and further developing the Factory in a safe and sustainable manner.
