21 Chemical One Member Company Limited (Factory Z121, under the General Department of Defense Industry) is the only facility in Vietnam authorized to manufacture fireworks. In recent years, fountain-style fireworks—including pellet fountains, flower fountains, and blinking pellet fountains—have been highly favored by the market, becoming Factory Z121’s key consumer fireworks products (non-explosive).

In 2024, Factory Z121 produced 6 million fountain fireworks, which was still insufficient to meet market demand. Therefore, in 2025, the factory aims to increase output to approximately 10 million units.

The production of these products follows a strict process in terms of both technical requirements and safety, comprising the main stages: preparing the firework racks; assembling fuses into the racks; applying fire-resistant adhesive and drying the racks; producing color pellets; final assembly of the racks; and test firing, among others.
