On the afternoon of February 24, Major General Đinh Quốc Hùng, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the General Department of Defense Industry, together with a working delegation, held a working session with the key leadership of Factory Z121.

Attending the meeting were leaders and commanders of agencies under the General Department of Defense Industry. At the session, Senior Colonel Chu Việt Sơn, Director of Factory Z121, reported on the unit’s production and business performance. Accordingly, in 2024 and the first two months of 2025, Factory Z121 successfully fulfilled its tasks in producing five product groups with 68 categories of national defense products, ensuring quality and on-schedule delivery. The factory also conducted research on 15 science and technology projects and tasks at various levels, and completed numerous mechanization and automation projects, as well as technical innovation initiatives applied in production.

Regarding economic production, the factory proactively expanded its markets and customer base, supplying industrial explosive materials with ensured safety standards. It also effectively maintained the production and distribution of fireworks through 567 retail outlets across all 63 provinces and cities nationwide. During the Ất Tỵ Lunar New Year 2025, the factory sold more than 6 million units of non-explosive fountain fireworks to the market, and supplied large quantities of high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks and related equipment to provinces and cities nationwide, serving the public in celebrating the Lunar New Year with absolute safety ensured.

In 2024, the factory’s production value reached over VND 3,500 billion, an increase of 16.5% compared to 2023; revenue exceeded VND 3,540 billion, up 17% year-on-year, of which economic revenue accounted for VND 2,884 billion, a rise of 16.7% compared to 2023. The average monthly income of employees was over VND 21 million per person.

Party work and political work were comprehensively implemented across all areas, with strict compliance with organizational principles, regulations, and Party meeting procedures. The factory reviewed, revised, and supplemented its working regulations and leadership regulations for key task areas. Training, professional development, and the review and supplementation of planning for command and management personnel at all levels were carried out in accordance with regulations.

At the same time, the factory fully implemented all regimes and policies for employees, while closely carrying out internal political security work, ensuring security and safety throughout the unit.

Regarding tasks for 2025, Factory Z121 will focus on producing national defense products while ensuring quality and safety, and on maintaining and expanding markets for industrial explosives, blasting accessories, and various types of fireworks. In 2025, the factory aims to achieve a production value of VND 4,158 billion, an increase of 17.8% compared to 2024; revenue exceeding VND 4,168 billion, up 17% year-on-year; and an average monthly income of VND 21.6 million per employee.

In his remarks at the working session, Major General Đinh Quốc Hùng commended the production and business results achieved by Factory Z121 in 2024. He also emphasized that in the coming period, the factory should continue to strengthen scientific and technological research, promote innovation and technical improvements, thereby enhancing productivity and product quality to meet the equipment requirements of the armed forces and serve civilian needs. In addition, he stressed the importance of production safety, particularly for newly researched and deployed production lines, equipment, and technologies, and encouraged the factory to actively expand export markets for economic products, especially fireworks.

In addition, the factory must consistently focus on building a clean and strong Party organization, maintaining regularity and discipline in operations in conjunction with building a comprehensively strong unit that is “exemplary and outstanding.” Attention should also be given to investing in improved working conditions and regimes and policies for employees, as well as effectively carrying out mass mobilization work.
Major General Đinh Quốc Hùng requested that the factory make thorough preparations in terms of documents, personnel, and related tasks and content to successfully organize the Factory Party Congress.

Earlier, Major General Đinh Quốc Hùng and the working delegation conducted field inspections at several national defense and economic production enterprises of Factory Z121.
